Sunday, March 2nd
A Celebration of Community Service brought to you by the BNA, Boy Scout Troup #1, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

9:15am Pancake Breakfast - 10:30am Community Worship Service - 11:30am Reception Representatives of Byram service organizations and community leaders are all invited to share the morning’s celebration. 

We honor the staff and PTA’s of New Lebanon and Western Middle School, Byram Garden Club, Senior Citizen organizations, Boys and Girls Scouts, Byram Veterans, Sokol, Byram Shore Boat Club, Byram Businesses, The Byram Shubert Library Staff, Friends of the Byram Shubert Library, Byram Volunteer Firemen and RTM Representatives.

Special honors will be presented at the reception to our Newly Appointed Police Chief David Ridberg who who grew up on Ivy street here in Byram.

Along with Chief Ridberg, First Selectmen Peter Tesei, Selectmen Peter Crumbine and Lin Lavery will share in the day’s celebration.

The Selectman's Pedestrian Safety Committee has prepared an Inventory of Pedestrian Safety Needs. Byram Road is identified as being one of the more urgent issues to be addressed.  (Download )

Tuesday January 23rd, 7pm
The First Selectman's Capital Improvement Committee will hold a Public Hearing for Town residents and Town officials in the Cone Conference Room.
The BNA is urging all residents to attend this meeting to urge the Town to make finishing the Byram Master Plan a top priority.  It was originally proposed to be finished in 2005.

The Friends of High School Performing Arts advocacy group is also urging residents to show their support in the planning and expansion of the music facilities.

Big Band Concert featuring sounds of the 40s, 50s, 60s and onward played by Jump-Start , a 18 piece big band orchestra.

The BNA is currently accepting donations to help 15 families in the Byram community that will be in need this holiday season. Please find it in your heart to assist your neighbor and their children at this special time of year.  We will also be collecting donations at the Byram Tree Lighting taking place Sat. Dec. 2nd at St. Paul's church at 4pm.

Wednesday, December 13th, 7:00pm
A meeting has been set for the public presentation of the inventory taken by the BNA and The Selectman's Pedestrian Safety Committee regarding sidewalks, crosswalks, and all things pertaining to pedestrian safety in Byram. Also being presented is a Long Range Plan being done by the DPW.  As the last walking community in Greenwich this is a very important public meeting. Please save the date and spread the word.  This meeting will be held at the town hall meeting room.

Saturday, December 2nd, 2-4pm
The BNA and the Byram Business Committee will be sponsoring a Holiday Stroll.  Come down and see the wonderful shops and storefronts in Byram decorated for the holidays. Meet the merchants and business owners And shop, shop, shop……

The Friends of the Byram Shubert Library will hold their Annual Tree Lighting at the entrance to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.  The lighting will be at 4:30 with food, music, and a surprise visitor.  Please bring a special dish to share. (Flyer )

November 3rd, 4th & 5th
The Friends of the Byram Shubert Library will be holding their ever popular book & media sale inside St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 286 Delavan Ave.

For the best selection, come to a special preview sale on Friday, November 3 from 5:30-8:30 pm. For $15, you can attend the preview and become a Friend of the Library – it’s well worth the entrance fee. On Saturday, November 4 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, the sale is open to all. On Sunday, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm will be the bargain hunter’s delight “bag and box” sale ($3/bag or $5/box).

They have virtually 30,000 books in 50 categories, as well as audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, videos, and artwork. Highlights include the research library of an oil tycoon, hundreds of new educational books, lots of antique sheet music, and thousands of children’s books. There are even a few donations from local celebrities!

All proceeds will benefit the branch library's programs and events.

Friends of the Byram Shubert Library Book Drive
The Friends of the Byram Shubert Library, a branch of Greenwich Library, are currently accepting donations of books, CDs, DVDs, videocassettes, audiobooks, and artwork for our early November book and media sale.  For more information or to schedule a free pick-up of your donations at another time, please call the sale chairperson at 203-570-8527, or the Byram Shubert Library at (203) 531-0426. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the branch library's programs and events.

Byram Shubert Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Byram Shubert Library (A Branch of Greenwich Library) are holding an enormous book and media sale inside St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 286 Delavan Ave, Greenwich, CT 06830 on June 2, 3, and 4. We will have approximately 75,000 books, CDs, DVDs, videos, audiobooks, and pieces of artwork for sale, with loads of brand new, gift suitable items as well as antiques. All proceeds benefit the branch library's programs and events.

Some highlights include a cookbook collection spanning sixty years, hundreds of reference books from a Harvard art historian, and generous gifts from a number of people in the film, education, and music industries.

For first pick, come to a special preview sale night for Friends of the Byram Shubert Library only on Friday, June 2 from 5:30-8:30 pm. For $15, you can attend the preview, become a Friend of the Library, and choose from a mindblowing selection of materials in nearly sixty categories. It's well worth the entrance fee!

Admission is free and open to all on Saturday, June 3 from 9:00 am to 4 pm. On Sunday, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm will be a bag sale ($3.00/bag or $5/box).

Get your summer reading lists ready, think ahead for all of those gifts you need to buy, and bring a truck!

During Our meeting on the 17th, a motion was made to come out in support of opposing a proposed plan of raising resident beach passes to $40 and lowering guest passes to $1.00 for people who rode their bikes or used public transportation.  Read the letter sent to the Board of Selectman on behalf of the Association.
