Meeting Minutes - July 18, 2006
Chairman Mike Bocchino called the to order at 7:00pm July 18th 2006

Attendance: 27 residents attending

1. Announcements

-Family night September 8th

-Byram Business Association meeting at Black Bear Restaurant.

-Promote Business and Residential cohesion in regards to loading zones/parking.

2. Proposed 120 unit development in Port Chester

- Hearing July 31st 7:30pm

- Considered the drafting of formal statement to represent Byram’s position.

- Considered surveying traffic impact.

- Motion to express concern in Port Chester 120 unit development passed unanimously.

3. Thomas Lyon House: http://www.hstg.org/index.cgi/866

- Chairman expressed concern of plans regarding its usage.

- Request for Proposal needed by end of August regarding usage.

4. Timothy Wahba appointed Secretary of Byram Neighborhood Association

5. Residential Parking

- Proposal by Allen Corry –Town’s parking services director http://www.greenwichct.org/Parking/Parking.asp

- Discussed with committee time restrictions.

- Committee decided on 11:00-2:00pm as starting point.

6. Discussed Curbing issues

7. Presentation of Pocket Park design and proposal

- Motion to approve design to present to Planning and Zoning Committee passed.

In Favor: 18 (Majority), Oppose: 2

8. Miscellaneous issues

- Lights: Mead Avenue, 4 lights irregular from address 80-30.

- Lights: Division and South Water Street, East Side.

- Lights: William and Mead.

- No parking Sign on corner of Mead and William.

- Division and Kirby – Take down old no parking sign (creates confusion after implementation of new sign.)

- Dangerous sidewalk: Northwest corner of William and South Water Street.
