A Petition to Preserve our Community!!

PETITION AGAINST THE FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF MCKINNEY TERRACE

On January 15, 1985, The Town of Greenwich Planning and Zoning Commission withheld its approval for the development of the McKinney Terrace site and advised the Housing Authority the following: "A new site plan be submitted showing no more than 72 total housing units on site...."

We the undersigned residents of Greenwich, Connecticut, hereby oppose the addition of any new units to the McKinney Terrace site. The site has reached the point of reasonable maximum development and adding more units will unfairly burden the property and the densely populated area in which it is located. Furthermore, because of the historical significance of the former Byram School, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, the site and the building, should not be further altered, but rather should be preserved.

By electronically signing this petition you agree with the opinion stated above.
